Location / Permits
After you have decided where you want your mausoleum to be realized, we will contact management of the memorial park to discus the possibilities and costs of realizing a mausoleum at that specific location. If necessary, we also contact the municipal authorities to investigate which permits are required.
Budget and budget control
The amounts stated on this website are indicative for a standard version including a standard foundation. Specific circumstances can be of influence on the total investment. Depending on your specific preferences and possible adjustments in the design, we will calculate the total amount of your intended investment in your monument in advance. During the entire turnaround time from placing your assignment to the completion of the mausoleum we will closely monitor the agreed upon budget, which will, except for special circumstances, in principle not be exceeded.
Design
Together with you and our architects, we will adjust the design and the construction drawings to your specific wishes.
Manufacture
After your formal approval of the final design, the actual manufacturing of your monument begins. Depending on the granite chosen by you, production takes place at the most suitable natural stone processing facility selected by us. That is always abroad because these types of factories are not located in the Netherlands. Most natural stone processors selected by us have their own quarries.
Foundation
Mausoleums are very heavy monuments. Even a modest mausoleum can easily weigh 50,000 kilos. A solid and forever lasting foundation is therefor of utmost importance.
That is why our specialized partners first carry out a geotechnical survey of the soil under your mausoleum. Depending on the results of this survey, it is determined what type of foundation is necessary.
Then the foundation is built. A foundation that will support your mausoleum forever.
Assembly
Once your mausoleum has arrived at your location, the construction phase will begin. Now you will see your creation taking shape for the first time. Assembly usually takes several weeks.
Total turnaround time
The total turnaround time from assignment to final delivery can vary from a few months for a modest standard mausoleum to almost a year for a very specific and extensive project.
Transfer of ownership
The transfer of ownership of your mausoleum is a legal procedure at the office of a public notary.
Symbolically we will hand over the keys of the mausoleum to you.
Payments
You pay the entire calculated amount of your total investment in advance to Mausoleums BV.
Maintenance
If you wish, we will also take care of the cleaning your monument as from completion. Then you and your loved ones no longer have to worry about it.
Cleaning will then take place once or twice a year. We are happy to make further arrangements with you about this topic too.
